Design & Appearance
The Xiaomi MIX 2S continuous the trend of the bezel-less design. The design of the Mix 2S is nothing new. But this time it has the Dual Camera Setup on it’s back just like iPhone X. The rear side of the handset is made of glass and shining also. On it’s back it has Xiaomi Mix 2S branding which is the trademark of the Xiaomi Mix series. The Lock screen and volume rocker button are places of the underneath of the right side bezel.
It has a tiny speaker located within the display which works better when you increase the volume. The selfie camera is placed on the bottom of the display. The outer aluminum frame and ceramic body get a robust look all together. The back panel easily catches up the fingerprints and is highly slippery so you need to take care while holding that.
Display Quality
If you closely look at the screen and pixel resolution of the Xiaomi MIX 2S, you would easily find that the screen has 2160 X 1080 pixel resolution altogether. The auto brightness is not as good as we expected to be. You have to face a lot of glare while using the smartphone under the sun. Xiaomi MIX 2S runs on 8.0 with MIUI 9, which comes with 2017 Google security patch. With the latest MIUI 9 has a lot of new features which is missing in the previous one. Still, the camera does struggle while shooting in the night mode.
The front camera comes with inclusive beauty mode so that you can initiate digital skin lightening and slimming effects through it. The 5 megapixel clicks average quality pictures. As soon as you disable HDR option, the images are not as exciting as they should in the absence of light.The camera picks accurate colors in low light conditions but produces noise.
Qi Wireless Charing
The Mi Mix 2S comes with 3300 mAh battery power which can last up to 13 hours all together. We would like to rate the battery power as average instead of best. If you compare the battery backup with the Rivals like one plus 5, Samsung Galaxy S8, Xiaomi MIX 2S 4G Phablet loses the race.
But still battery of Mix 2S battery does a decent job. It does support the Qi wireless charging. You can use any wireless charger you want because there is no specified and doesn’t come with the wireless charger in the box.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S: Review & Conclusion
The phone is rather good looking and has a subtle amount of features. The 3.5 mm headphone jack lacking is the biggest flaw you can find it any phone. Also, Xiaomi has made no provisions for water resistance either.
